We couldn’t recommend Kelly more highly. She has presented multiple times to our team on the topic of mindfulness, visioning and wellbeing. We love that Kelly presents in a way that is really accessible and realistic – and not at all preachy! She gives really practical and achievable advice which clearly engages our team and leaves them feeling confident that they can go out and make small changes right away. Kelly’s sessions are a really important and tangible part of how we support our team and create a healthy work environment.
Kelly ran a course for a group of teacher’s over several weeks and the affect it had rippled throughout the Preschool community from teachers to children and parents. Kelly is a gentle yet passionate mindfulness coach. Her energy is contagious and I instantly felt grounded in her class. Kelly’s approach is very reflective, she listens and makes everyone around her feel heard and valued. Kelly cares so deeply about the people that she meets and if you have the opportunity to attend a mindfulness session with her, your life will be changed for ever.
Kelly is passionate, knowledgeable, heartfelt and immensely kind in her offerings as a teacher and facilitator of meditation, mindfulness and self-compassion. In my work as teacher trainer she is my go to person for anything meditation. I highly highly recommend her work.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Kelly through Healthy Hospo for approximately three years. Kelly has designed, and presented at many of our workshops in our efforts to support the hospitality industry, in the area of wellbeing, specifically mindfulness, meditation and connection to self/others/nature.
Kelly is clearly passionate about what she does and her style is really unique. She connects with her audience in a way that I can only describe as soulful, and we are lucky to have her as part of our family.
Kelly has been an integral part of the Healthy Hospo project since our inception in 2020. She has built workshops and programmes to support the hospitality industry to develop mental skills and resilience, through mindfulness. Kelly’s kind nature and ability to relate to the audiences she speaks to, has always drawn great response from audiences, and she leaves people with a sense that they have been genuinely cared for. She is a pleasure to work alongside, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.
The programmes Kelly was responsible for ran in a low decile, all girls high school renown for shy students. Her connection with the largely Pacific and immigrant cohort was fast, managing to bring these young ladies out of their shells, and supporting them to aim higher than they normally would. Kelly is calm and supportive with all of her young people, whether one on one or in groups and leaving them feeling valued as individuals.
Kelly’s passion for young people, creativity and peace has added to the curriculum and structure of our programmes benefiting to our young people. Our schools were crying out for support with their stressed charges and Kelly soon had mindfulness sessions imbedded, not only in the school programmes she ran, but throughout Aotearoa.
Kelly’s expertise was also essential in running mentoring and wellbeing sessions with a broad range of our organisation’s supporters. I’ve enjoyed collaborating with and seeking Kelly’s contribution to programme development, she is wise and intelligent helping designers and colleagues make sense of the raw data and create appropriate solutions.
We miss Kelly’s experience and wisdom at the Graeme Dingle Foundation but know she is contributing to the well-being of the community and young people.

Hospitality New Zealand - Mental Health
“We discovered the essence and benefits of tranquility at the “Healthy Hospo” workshop held at The Arborist on August 28th, 2023. With a turnout of 28 eager participants, the event centered around the theme of “Mindfulness.”
Through insightful discussions and practical advice, attendees delved into the art of maintaining composure and enhancing focus. The workshop also shed light on the human inclination towards negativity and how to overcome it.
Guiding the session with unwavering passion, facilitator Kelly Watkin led the group through a journey of better understanding their thoughts, leaving all engaged participants captivated by the profound benefits. Huge thanks to Lion NZ for their continued support for this initiative and helping to keep our work whanau strong & resilient.”
